Ahhhhh it’s finally here, the night before the wedding! The excitement is in the air, and so are those pre-marital bliss jitters. With the big day just hours away, its seems like there’s an endless list of things to do, and we are here to help highlight just a few that help keep you focused and relaxed!
Make a list
Organization is key! Try to keep a running list of items that you need to bring with you to the venue and check off each item as you pack up your car in the morning! If there is just not enough time, reach out to your bridal party for help.
Touch base with vendors
If at all possible, put your mind at ease the day before the wedding by touching base with your vendors to confirm arrival times and other important details. Couples also have the option of designating tip amounts to be delivered ahead of time, so that you are not worrying about paying your amazing team of vendors on the big day!
Spend time with family and friends
The night before the wedding is an amazing opportunity to spend time with family and friends who have made the journey to be there with you and your spouse on the beginning of the ultimate adventure! Although everything is moving a mile a minute, make it a priority to visit with as many guests as possible.
There is no worse feeling in the world than picking up your camera on the big day to capture a precious moment, and then realizing that the battery is dead! Do a tech check the night before to make sure everything is fully charged, that there is plenty of memory space, and that all USB cords and chargers are packed and ready to go.
Run through your vows
All eyes and ears will be on you and your groom as you say your big “I dos” and if you are at all worried about becoming tongue tied, it doesn’t hurt to run them over with a big glass of bubbly surrounded by all your girls! Working out the kinks in front of a close trusted audience can be both productive and hilarious. Nothing will cure night before jitters like a good laugh!
The night before the wedding is the perfect time to take a moment and reminisce on your love by looking through old pictures, love letters, and mementos collected along the way. Some couples choose to use this time as an opportunity to write each other a heartfelt letter that they give to their spouse to read the day of the wedding. This always makes for some amazing photo ops as well!
Primp and prep
On the night before your big day, make sure you take time to take care of yourself! Some brides choose to do group facials, manicures, pedicures, and massages with their bridal party, while the boys go off and play a round of golf. Whatever activity you choose to do to relax, there are some basic steps you can take that will ensure that you are looking and feeling your absolute best. Drink lots of water! Proper hydration will not only keep you feeling good, but will also have your skin glowing for the big day! Avoid eating or drinking excessively at least two days before, so that you don’t feel sluggish or appear tired in photos. And lastly, take a deep breath and relax. Try to keep your stress level at a minimum and really enjoy every second of the process, the day will be over before you know it!
