No, it’s not Black Friday — It’s Blue Bridal’s sample sale! While most shoppers may be looking forward to the Cyber Mondays, Black Fridays, and Prime Days of the retail world to get the best deals, there is no set day in the bridal industry to prompt the biggest markdowns of the year.

So what does this mean for you as a future bride looking to snag a deal on her dream dress? Well, fret not because that’s where sample sales come in. Join Blue Bridal for our sample sale on October 17 and 18, 2022. 

You may be asking yourself, “What is a sample sale?” A sample sale is when we mark down samples to be sold off the rack to make room for new fall and spring inventory. This means select styles in our boutique will be marked down anywhere from 20-75%! While our usual price range in-store is $1,800-$2,300, our sample sale discounts bring down a majority of our bridal gowns to $1,500 and below. It doesn’t just stop there as we will also have a SUPER sample sale rack with dresses for $500 or less. 

What is a sample sale?

We get it. Weddings are expensive. Do these deals imply you’re saving a lot on that DREAM DRESS? Well according to a study conducted by The Knot which surveyed over 15,000 couples who got married last year, the average wedding dress cost in 2021 was $1,800. Whether it’s a few hundred or a thousand, you would be saving more money than the average bride if you bought your dress at our sample sale! 

So how do you know if a sample sale is right for you? Let’s be honest, sample sales aren’t for everyone. For starters, our samples aren’t going to be made to fit the average person. Most of our sale samples are size 12 —  which usually fits a street size 8-10. We do have some samples ranging from size 2-22, but a good portion of our gowns are size 12. Additionally, some of our samples aren’t going to be in the same condition as you would expect if you were to order the dress new.

How do you know if a sample sale is right for you?

Since these are floor samples, we understand the dresses aren’t in new condition which is where the discounted prices come into play. If you have the time, meaning your wedding isn’t for another 9 months or more, we would definitely recommend waiting and ordering your dress new. Sample sales are great for the bride who is on a time crunch.

When you buy at a sample sale, there is no waiting for your dress to arrive as you can leave the store with your dress in hand, stress-free, and your bank account thanking you. Going off of that, even if your wedding is far into the future, but you’re mainly looking for a good steal, you can still buy at our sample sale. As long as you don’t mind purchasing a gown that isn’t brand new, we’re dedicated to finding your perfect dress at the right price.
