Brides-to-be in search of understated design can find it from Manhattan-based fashion icon Jenny Yoo. Her stylish, customizable, and graceful bridal gowns and bridesmaid designs epitomize simple elegance.

“Jenny Yoo gowns are extremely lightweight, perfect for many Colorado brides, especially those getting married in the mountains or outdoors,” says Sarah Snyder, owner of Blue Bridal Boutique, which has carried Yoo gowns for three seasons and is hosting upcoming trunk shows.

Blue Bridal’s Castle Rock location, 399 Perry St., Suite 100, will host a trunk show Friday through Sunday. Brides in Denver may attend the same show at the downtown Denver Pavilions location, 500 16th Street, Suite 222, from May 25-27. The boutiques will offer brides 10 percent discounts on orders. Yoo’s designs in silk, chiffon, lace, and organza range in price from $775-$2,700.

Snyder and her staff can help brides enhance or adapt Yoo designs to create a unique and one-of-a-kind look for the big day. “Many of Jenny Yoo’s gowns are simple, so there are so many ways to make the gown your own by playing with accessories and adding a fabulous sash, some fantastic jewelry, or a fun flower and headpiece,” says Snyder. The designer’s Elysia gown features a scoop neckline and deeper scooped back, and with a simple design and elegant trumpet skirt, brides can add a variety of accessories to their ceremony and reception looks without breaking the bank.

The two-tiered silk dress can be worn as a second dress, or for less formal weddings.

Yoo also offers several options for a more casual second look to wear at receptions. The designer’s new Romy style with a sweetheart neckline and double layer silk modal Mikado fabric can work for brides planning a cocktail wedding, an event with two gowns, or a casual affair.

The designer received her degree in fashion design from Parsons School of Design in New York City, and after working with a private label company and Ann Taylor, she founded Jenny Yoo Collection, Inc.

Blue Bridal Boutique requires brides to schedule appointments in advance. The staff can order any style in any material from the designer. Info at, or call the Denver store, 303-446-2583 or Castle Rock location, 303-446-2583.
